SpaDent is a whitening process that uses natural ingredients to whiten teeth 2-8 shades whiter in 20-minute sessions. The process is done in-office with our dental professionals. SpaDent unique formula promotes maximum whitening benefits, in the least amount of time with virtually no sensitivity.
Composite Fillings
Composite (tooth coloured) fillings are used to restore a tooth that has decay, fractures, or cracks. Composites and silver amalgams are materials that are used for dental restoration. Since composite fillings come in a variety of shades they can be easily matched to the colour of the existing teeth and are more aesthetically pleasing for anterior teeth. The treatment is usually placed in one appointment and you may experience sensitivity to hot and cold when the composite fillings are first placed. As with most dental filling material, there are advantages and disadvantages. You will be able to discuss with your dentist the option that best suits you.
Veneers
Veneer is a thin layer of material usually made from porcelain that is bonded on to the anterior tooth. It is generally used to improve the aesthetics of a tooth or to protect the tooth from damage. Veneers are customized to match the shape and colour of your tooth and can often be an alternative to crowns. The material used is durable but may need to be replaced in the future.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are one of the best alternatives to replacing missing teeth. The implants can be used to provide support to crowns, bridges, and dentures. A titanium post is placed in the upper or lower bone of the jaw. Once the post fuses with the jaw bone the dentist places an artificial tooth on the implanted post. The tooth is very natural looking and often enhances a patient’s smile.
Invisalign® can correct numerous common bite problems:
Invisalign® aligners have a clear advantage over traditional metallic braces, as they provide the same results, correct the same dental problems, yet are nearly invisible, and furthermore, can be removed at will.
The following is a list of several common issues that can be corrected with Invisalign® aligners:
Overcrowding – Occurring when there is too little space for the teeth to normally align in the patient’s mouth. Overcrowding can increase the likelihood of gingivitis and is an issue that can cause tooth decay.
Large gaps between teeth – Often occurs when teeth are missing, or when a patient’s jaw continues to grow abnormally.
Crossbite – A common dental problem, occurring when one, or multiple upper teeth bite inside the lower teeth. Consequently, uneven wear can lead to bone erosion and can even lead to gingivitis (gum disease).
Overbite – Occurring when a patient’s upper teeth project further than, or completely cover, their lower teeth. Jaw pain and TMJ may eventually occur.
Underbite – The inverse of the overbite, in this case, the lower teeth project further than, or completely cover the patient’s upper teeth. As in the overbite, jaw pain and TMJ can eventually occur.
Botox
Botox is a protein commonly used in a cosmetic application. It consists of injecting a small dose of botulinum toxin to an area of the skin to help prevent the development of wrinkles. The protein gives the skin a smooth and relaxed appearance. The effects generally last about three to four months; it can last longer with more treatments.
