Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is the process of removing infected tissue from the roots of the tooth. A root canal is often done to try to save an infected tooth. If left untreated the bacteria causing the decay can form an abscess. The abscess may cause pain, swelling, and oral health problems. Once a tooth has been treated the tooth itself will be structurally weakened, therefore we recommend placing a crown over top of the root canal treated tooth to prevent future problems.
